My trip to Nashville for the CAAS 2001 has been one of the most exciting moments of my not too short carreer. The answer of the the public and the presence of so many great players made the event unforgettable. A very special thank to Mark Pritcher, the president of the Association, that asked me to play because one of the players was missing. It was my very first solo gig in almost fifteen years of live music, on the stage that saw the likes of John Knowles and Tommy Emmanuel (both C.G.P.), Thom Bresh, Buster B. Jones, Jim & Morning Nichols, Richard Smith; and Guy Van Duser, Pat Kirtley, Todd Hallawell, Stephen Bennett, Brent Mason, Scotty Anderson, John Jorgenson, to name some of them, all in debt of something with the great Chet Atkins. It was without any doubt the most important guitar festival in the world. |

I made some new friends, which i hope to meet as soon as possible; among them are luthiers Rich Mermer (in the picture it's me showcasing one of his guitars) and Tom Williamson, both at the CAAS with some of their beautiful guitars, and T. Leroy Redmond, webmaster for the Mister Guitar website dedicated to Chet Atkins. |

Thanks Mark e Carol for giving me the chance to share those special moments with all of you, and a million of thanks to Mike and Beth Voltz, my family in Nashville. |
